Feltham
School Sport Partnership The Feltham School Sport Partnership
(FSSP) was established in September 2007. The main aim of the partnership
is to increase the breadth, quality and quantity of physical education,
physical activity and sporting opportunities, within and beyond
the curriculum, through a community partnership promoting and encouraging
a healthy and active lifestyle.
The
partnership will support the establishment of a PE and Sports policy
for all Schools, which will become an integral part of the whole
school plan. Through a structured continual professional development
programme for teachers, students and adults other than teachers
a strong foundation will be built in all schools for the support
and development of PE and sport.
Curriculum
development throughout the partnership will contribute a consistent
approach to each key stage interface and establish clear assessment
criteria through collaborative procedures.
The
partnership will develop new and enhanced opportunities for all
young people paying particular attention to the needs of priority
groups identified.
We
will build stronger school and community opportunities by developing
sports leadership, officiating, administration and coaching qualifications.
We will encourage an increase young people's involvement outside
school.
The
partnership will support festivals, provide opportunities to share
good practice, encourage sharing of resources and facilities. FSSP
will support schools to work collaboratively to raise the achievements
of all pupils and the profile of PE and sport throughout Hounslow.
