Feltham
Community College - The Vision
Feltham Community College
is a vibrant, dynamic, energetic school. We are becoming
a centre of excellence for innovative pedagogical development,
with every member of our community engaging in reflection,
leadership and learning. We ensure personalised learning
opportunities in an active and creative environment which
guarantees success for every young person.
We provide, working
in partnerships, powerful support and guidance for all our
community to ensure that disadvantage does not create a
barrier to future economic health, well being and achievement.
By the time students
leave the college they will be:
- Resilient and independent
learners with the skills to succeed in a rapidly changing
world
- Active and responsible
citizens in local, national and global settings with a
social conscience and an environmental awareness
- Emotionally intelligent,
perceptive to the needs of others, accepting of responsibility
in leadership roles
- Creative, enterprising
and imaginative with an enthusiasm to take on challenge
- Communicating with
fluency and tolerance in different situations
- Leading a healthy
active lifestyle
Our vision through
BSF is to ensure all our students are prepared and skilled
to meet the opportunities and challenges of the future.
Through this vision we aspire that our students overcome
any barriers to achievement and personal success. Our guarantee
is that they will have fully participated in exciting challenging
and creative learning experiences, individually tailored
to maximise enjoyment and success.
In the very near future
we will be acknowledged as an excellent school with an outstanding
creative and personalised curriculum which is fully inclusive.

Hounslow
BSF - Education Strategy For Change
We are pleased to publish
a draft of Hounslow
BSF - Education Strategy for Change Document Pdf 64.2Kb.
This document sets out our ambitions for the BSF programme.
It is rooted in the determination to use the programme as
a catalyst to further raise standards and to transform learning
opportunities for the 21st century. The document sets out
how we will improve educational outcomes through BSF by:
- Ensuring every parent
has access to a good local school which will meet their
child’s needs;
- Reducing current
areas of underperformance;
- Providing learning
opportunities that are better geared to individual needs
- Widening opportunities
for pupils aged 14 to 19
- Making schools the
focus for delivering wider children’s services
- Improving opportunities
for pupils with special educational needs
This document explains
how our initial proposals for five schools in the first
wave will begin this process of transformation. Hounslow
is committed to seeing through the whole BSF programme so
that all schools and all pupils will benefit.
Accompanying the Strategy
for Change is a second consultation document which addresses
provision for pupils with special educational needs both
in mainstream and in special schools.

Proposed
Trust Status
We are now at the stage
where we are informally consulting with parents, staff and
governors that we wish to become a Trust. We will soon publish
our statutory proposal where we will outline our Trust plans.
This proposal will, in compliance with law, be published
on this website and in the local press. We will also write
to a number of individuals, organisations and agencies in
the local and surrounding areas. These will include primary
and secondary schools, the PCT, Trade Unions, the parish
council and local constituency MPs. This then provides an
opportunity for comments on the proposal to be passed to
the school.
How
you can contribute to the consultation
We are very interested
in your views on our proposals. You can express them in
the following ways:
