Our outgoing Year 11 students had every reason to feel extremely proud of themselves this summer as they achieved the College’s best ever set of GCSE results! Their hard work together with the excellent support and guidance of our teachers and support staff has meant we are now the most improved school in the country.

Our 5 A*- C figure has leapt from 49% in 2008 to 79% this year which meant a 62% improvement! The all important benchmark of 5A*-C including English and Maths moved from 24% last year to 42%, which constituted a staggering 75% improvement! It wasn’t just some students who made improvement - our capped Average Points Score moved up 50 points from 257 to 308 – all our students improved by more than a whole grade in every subject!

We also had some outstanding individual academic performances. With 4 students achieving 5 or more A*-A grades:

We now look forward to working together with the current Year 11 class to continue this impressive academic success in 2009-10.
