Welcome to the Feltham Community College Parents page. Below you will find information for parents, carers and students who wish to become part of our dynamic and award winning college.

 

Teacher and Parent/Carer Consultation Meetings

As a result of feedback from parents/carers in October 2009 we have made some changes to our parent/carer consultation events. Please check our Calendar for forthcoming consultation days in the new year.

New College Hours

Please note from September 2009 the college is introducing new times for the school day. See our New College Hours.

Conditions for Learning Policy

Our Conditions for Learning Policy replaces our Behaviour Policy and gives a positive framework for all members of our college community to work within. Learn more about our Conditions for Learning Policy.

Rewards Ladder

The college has a rewards system in place to encourage academic progress and recognize our students good behaviour. Learn more about our Rewards Ladder.

The college also has a consequences policy so students understand the consequences of their behaviour and how it impacts upon their learning. Learn more about our Consequences Ladder.

Attendance

This is a successful college and your child plays their part in making it so. We aim for an environment which enables and encourages all members of the community to reach out for excellence. For our students to gain the greatest benefit from their education it is vital that they attend regularly and your child should be at college, on time, every day the college is open unless the reason for the absence is unavoidable.

Statement of Intent

Feltham Community College fully adopts recruitment and selection procedures and other HR management processes that aim to deter, reject or identify people who might abuse children, or are otherwise unsuited to working with them. All members of our staff will have an enhanced CRB Check carried out prior to appointment.

Safeguarding children and Safer Recruitment in Education

Our policy applies to all staff, governors and volunteers working in the school. Safeguarding young people is the legal responsibility of us all. Feltham Community College is determined to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to protect the young people in our community. For further information please read the document:

E-Safety Policy

Our e-Safety Policy has been written by the school, building on the London Grid for Learning (LGfL) exemplar policy and Becta guidance. Data Protection  

Data Protection Act: Various local and governmental bodies all process information on pupils in order to run the education system. The Department of Health and Primary Care Trusts process information on pupils in order to tackle the rise in obesity among children, and in doing so have to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998. College Menus: Feltham Community College in partnership with AIP Catering are providing fresh, healthy, nutritious food for the future of tomorrow. AIP offer catering solutions to the education sector with a focus and drive to increase the school meal uptake.

We are committed to bringing fresh, healthy food, to students each and every day with each menu cycle nutritionally reviewed to ensure that the correct balance is met.
