Year 12 Advanced Study Skills Workshop
|
| On
Tuesday 3rd March, 30 Year 12 students took part in
a Study Skills workshop with Jonathan Willox from
Learning Performance. The workshop lasted for four
hours, and students took part in a variety of activities,
from learning how to mind map to exploring different
learning styles. All of the activities were designed
to help the students organise their written work and
learn how to revise more effectively.
All feedback
received from the students regarding the presentation
was positive.
Staff supporting the workshop were extremely impressed
with the students’ attitudes and application
throughout the morning. Mr Willox, the course presenter,
said that our students had exceeded his expectations,
and should be commended for their maturity and willingness
to participate in all activities.
We hope that
the students involved will continue to refer to the
skills and techniques they acquired during the workshop
to make sure they gain the best possible grades in
their forthcoming exams.
